Want to take some SCREENSHOTS from your a Mac?
Main option is to take a screenshot of the WHOLE screen and saving it straight to your desktop: Command + Shift + 3
Just want to select a portion of your screen? - Command + Shift + 4

A specific window? - Command + Shift + 4 (then release and press the SPACE bar, with the camera click the window you need) -Illustration credit: Apple, Inc.

Files will end up on your desktop with the Screenshot's name-date and time.
Just need a copy on your clipboard to then PASTE ANYWHERE? -
Command + Shift + Control + 4 - then PASTE with Command + V
(This is a great command to just take a quick screenshot and paste it to an email that you need to send out ASAP, or placed in a document)
